Leadership Training Workshops

Every fall, as the new school year starts, PEI Home and School Federation offers Leadership Training Workshops in selected schools in regions across PEI.  Home and School Associations are invited to attend provincial training or can request individual training. Training helps new volunteers and executive members better understand the Home and School's role and we, together, advocacy for the best possible education for all children and youth in PEI's education system.

Bringing together education partners to start off the school year...

We were happy to organize a successful event this afternoon at the Haviland Club in Charlottetown that saw the Minister of Education, Early Learning and Culture, the chairs of the English and French language school boards, the Superintendent of the English Language School Board, the President of the PEI Teachers Federation, the heads of the CUPE Local 3260 (Educational Assistants, Youth Service Workers, Student Attendants and Work Place Assistants), CUPE Local 1145 (School Bus Drivers and Mechanics) and CUPE Local 1775 (School Cleaning and Maintenance) and selected trustees and senior staff together for an informal coffee-and-biscuits meeting.

Learning about StudentsAchieve

At our Annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 12, 2014 we were fortunate to have Sean Cain from the English Language School Board present a session on StudentsAchieve, the web-based system that parents can use to find attendance and marks information for their children.

The session was well-attended and many questions were asked and answered.

Parents of intermediate and high school students can access StudentsAchieve through a web browser at https://sas.edu.pe.ca/ and will also find a page of useful resources and frequently asked questions on the English Language School Board website.

Presentation to English Language School Board

Home and School: Huh?

We’re the glue.

We’re the glue between home and school.

We’re the glue that connects parents and guardians and students and their brothers and sisters and grandparents and the community at large…

…with teachers and principals and staff and volunteers and administrators and trustees…

But what do we mean by “glue”?
